Laboratory of Architecture #3: Redefining Visual Language for Architectural Innovation
Laboratory of Architecture #3 (LOA#3) is a Tbilisi, Georgia-based architectural firm that embraces experimentation and practicality to push the boundaries of architectural design. Founded 15 years ago by three university graduates, LOA#3 has established itself as a trusted partner for both local and international clients. Recognizing the need to align their visual identity with their evolving brand, LOA#3 sought a comprehensive identity redesign that encapsulates their commitment to creating the best possible worlds through architecture.
Our approach began with a deep dive into LOA#3’s core philosophy. This exploration unearthed profound inspiration that guided us towards meaningful visual solutions. Employing basic geometric shapes – circle, square, and triangle – we fashioned a bold, memorable, and minimalistic wordmark that serves as the cornerstone of the overall identity. This geometric language provided the foundation for crafting a dynamic identity capable of evolving in various directions. Geometric elements were enhanced with a stark black and white color palette, lending an academic and precise character to the visual style. Animations breathed life into the identity, creating a cohesive and engaging brand experience.
The resulting brand identity exudes emotion, authenticity, professionalism, and impact. It embodies the principle of form following function and stands out distinctly amidst the clutter of contemporary visual concepts. LOA#3’s renewed identity stands as a testament to their unwavering dedication to architectural innovation and their commitment to shaping the future of design.
