Nestled in a cozy building corner along an idyllic tree-lined esplanade in southern Battery Park City, Inatteso Cafe is a breath of fresh air serving up high quality espresso and handmade treats. Regulars and tourists alike are drawn to the approachable respite of the independent cafe in bustling Downtown Manhattan.
When Crown Creative was first tasked to rebrand Inatteso, our team learned that the name itself means “unexpected” in Italian and no that organically led our approach in creating a unique, nontypical and, of course, unexpected brand. A variety of warm colors breathe life into the decade old Italian cafe that could formerly have been described as predictable and monotonous. Playful shades of pink and green, hand drawn shapes and flowing water color shapes were formed to entice new demographics and create a more memorable user experience.
Working with Bolt Design to ensure symbiosis of interior design and branding design was the key to the beautiful final result of this project.
