Arlekoino Cook & Drink branding by Cursor Design Studio ® brings humor, culture, and design into perfect balance. The project reimagines a restaurant’s identity through the playful spirit of Harlequin, the Commedia dell’arte character known for his color, energy, and mischief.
Cursor Design Studio ® was responsible for naming, logo design, and a wide range of brand applications for the wine restaurant located in Larissa, Greece. The creative concept began with a wordplay that fuses Harlequin’s persona with the joy of wine and dining. The result is a narrative-driven brand that feels both theatrical and contemporary.
The studio imagined Harlequin transforming himself to contain the wine, embodying both the character and the product. His colorful costume patterns were adapted into the bottle design, featuring motifs that subtly recall familiar dining objects like spoons and plates. This conceptual transformation creates a direct link between the restaurant’s culinary identity and its visual language.
Color played a crucial role in defining the mood. The bright geometric patterns inspired by Harlequin’s costume interact beautifully with the tropical tones of the interior. This harmony between branding and architecture produces a unified spatial experience where every element, from the logo to the wall color, reflects the same lively character.
Through Arlekoino Cook & Drink, Cursor Design Studio ® demonstrates how effective storytelling can elevate brand design. By merging mythology, humor, and spatial coherence, the studio built an identity that feels authentic, memorable, and full of personality. It is an example of how visual wit and cultural depth can turn a restaurant into a complete sensory experience.
